CHA NO KA 茶の菓 by MALEBRANCHE

This is Langue de Chat, Kyoto version.(langue de chat=cat's tongue)

       「茶の菓」、お濃茶ラング・ド・シャ 「CHANOKA」 5 pieces ¥630

Matcha green tea from Uji city in Kyoto is considered to have the best quality and taste. There are 2 kinds of matcha: koi cha(strong tea) and usui cha (light tea).
Koicha (濃い茶)is considered to be high-class tea which gives you the natural sweetness of matcha..

Malebranche, the famous patisserie in Kyoto, made this new type of cookie: koicha langue de chat cookie sandwich with a thin slice of white chocolate inside...

hmmmm..very aromatic and tasty! A bit sweet but it matches well with a cup of strong tea.

This cookie is made to order only. You can also find it in some select shops in Kyoto.

I am enjoying life huh?

It does not appear that they will ship to the U.S. I had them on a recent ANA flight and they were delicious. While I frequent Tokyo, it appears that I will actually have to go to Kyoto to buy these suckers.
